Shipping Information

Livestock Shipping

We offer APC Overnight shipping using their Fish and Coral service or Royal Mail Special Delivery by 1pm for livestock shipments. Both have been proven to be very reliable and we have a great deal of experience with both companies. APC has the edge for expensive shipments as they proactively monitor every Fish and coral shipment from their central hub in Stoke-on-Trent; this includes sending a van specifically for a single box of corals if the process goes wrong to ensure it gets delivered, it really is a very professional service.

We ask that you add the day you want to receive your shipment in the comments when ordering. We will confirm shipping dates for all orders by email prior to shipping livestock.

We can normally ship orders next day if the order is placed before 1pm.

We ship with APC on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays
We ship with Royal Mail on Monday - Friday. There is an option for a Special delivery service on Saturday with Royal Mail.

Prices for shipping anything is going up at an alarming rate but we strive to keep shipping costs down as much as we can and negotiate with our shipping partners to bring you the best deal that we can.

Dry Goods Shipping

We have used the Royal Mail Tracked 24 service for a number of years now and it has proven to be a good option for dry goods that provides a good level of tracking of your parcel through the system. This is the recommended service if you are purchasing goods over £100 and/or you need your order next working day.

We ship livestock to a standard that exceeds the OATA guidelines agreed with Government (DEFRA) which states a well sealed bag within a polystyrene box, a polyball blanket both above and below the frags and a cardboard outer box and appropriately heat packed to maintain a comfortable temperature for the animals.

Shipping restrictions

When shipping with APC or Royal Mail will not ship livestock to a location where they are not able to guarantee delivery within 24hrs of packing the corals. This currently means that we can not ship to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, some islands. Deliveries to Northern Ireland are not possible due livestock movement restrictions between the UK and NI. If you are very distant from the South of England then please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can enquire to determine if shipping to you is possible.

Royal Mail offers a wider delivery area into Scotland and some islands. We still have restrictions sending coral to Northern Ireland, these are customs-related and out of our control.

Shipping corals outside of the UK

We only ship to Great Britain.

Pickup Service

You may select pickup at checkout if you are a local customer and want to save the shipping fees. When selecting this option you can request a time window for the pickup. We must stress that we do not permit any visits to the farm, so please don't ask.

DOA Policy

We will cover 'Death on arrival' (DOA). In the unlikely event that your coral perishes in transit then we will either credit or replace where necessary. Unlike some other online sellers, we cover the cost of shipping and packaging for replacements. This is subject to the following conditions:

1) A photo of the frag needs to be sent to us within 1 hour of your shipment arriving clearly showing the plug and remains of the coral next to the original frag bag packaging.
2) The package was delivered and signed for on the first attempt by the courier. Second or subsequent attempts to deliver will void our DOA cover. Changing the delivery time with the shipper will void DOA cover.
3) Shipping to a non-domestic location, e.g. your place of work, will void DOA cover.
