Frag Farm Ltd. is one of the largest professional coral farms in the UK providing a source of high quality frags to the UK hobbyist market and licensed retail trade.  

We are passionate about sustainability. The worlds reefs are under threat from climate change, pollution and other anthropogenic factors. The know-how exists today to reduce the dependence on imported coral by investment in local aquaculture.  







Frag Farm Ltd. is a small but growing business (pardon the pun) based in Buckinghamshire, UK. Growing coral is our livelihood and we aim for high standards in all that we do. We are small enough to provide great customer service, but large enough to be a viable aquaculture business, our farm has 160sq ft of lit growing space. 






Our corals are quarantined, fully settled and acclimated to tank conditions, many of our corals have been with us for years and no coral is fragged until we are completely happy it is growing and is in peak health. This results in a healthy and happy coral that is most likely to retain its colour and vibrance in your tank. 






All photos on this site are of corals in the farm. All of our photos are taken with a Canon DSLR with a macro lens under blue lighting (the farm runs on 20,000K colour temperature) We do not use orange or yellow filters and images are post processed to correct the white balance. We aim to present our stock as it actually appears in our systems and do not artificially enhance the colouration.


Our mission is to provide the widest range of high quality coral frags to the UK reefing community. We have a huge collection of brood stock from Indonesia, Australia, Fiji and Malaysia that have been carefully selected since we built the farm in 2016. 





By supporting us you are supporting UK coral aquaculture and reducing the amount of coral taken from the sea while reducing the carbon footprint and plastic waste of shipping bags of water (with corals in them) by air freight half way across the world. 






We have shipped thousands (over 10,000) frags to aquatics retailers across the UK since we opened for business. We have refined our shipping technique over the years and it is very rare that a coral suffers in transit. We have developed a strong working relationship with our courier (APC Overnight) and will only ship to the UK in areas where APC will guarantee delivery by a specified time that is within 24hrs of the coral being packed.




Our frags are not the cheapest when compared to some establishments or when buying directly from a hobbyist. We could take the easy option and import corals, chop them up and present them for sale, but this is not what we are about. Our coral collection is fragged sustainably and corals that enter the farm stay for good. We currently have approximately 2000 distinct corals that are growing for future frag stock, this has an exceptional cost associated with it, not to mention paying taxes and overheads.
