Yellow Acropora Horrida

With bright yellow corallites on a bluish coloured base this is a lovely coral. The horrida in good conditions is an extremely 'hairy' coral will exhibit strong polyp extension. As it grows it develops a tight corymbose branch structure that really looks lovely. With such heavy polyp extension it could be easily confused with an LPS coral as it sways in the flow.
